Edited 4 months agoTaped at O’Hara Arena Dayton Ohio Aug 13 1971. In my opinion the finest Who unofficial ever made. It’s from an extremely good aud tape. The overall sound is quite good. However the thing that makes this particular recording stand out is the performance. The band seems to be in a great mood. Pete especially is very friendly and talkative with the aud. In fact he’s absolutely the front man at this show. The band is on fire and honestly this is The Who at their peak live. Just an incredible night.
If you look around you can probably find the complete show and you definitely should. But as not only a great memento of this incredible show , it’s also record you’ll find yourself playing over and over. Releases like this is why unofficials are such a treasure for fans sometimes.
Can’t praise this one enough.
The original releasers tried to cram every second of music on here as they could. So don’t be alarmed when the last secs of WGFA get cut off by the runout groove. Thats the way they all are pressed.
