For this reason, I would always recommend that a buyer selects or asks for a tracked postal option as this gives both buyer and seller added peace of mind. My postage rates are set to a maximum package weight of 2kg. Anything over that, I would recommend that you me directly for a shipping price.

I use Royal Mail 1st or 2nd Class 'Signed For' within the UK which offers proof of delivery in the form of a signature and compensation up to £50 should the package be lost or damaged in transit. The Royal Mail Tracked 48 service is another option for UK orders and provides end to end tracking for peace of mind with compensation cover up to £150. A email and mobile number is required by Royal Mail so they can send the recipient sms updates as to when the package will be delivered so please to include this when placing your order.

For UK orders with a value in excess of £150, I use Royal Mail Special Delivery which provides compensation up to £750 as standard with additional compensation available up to £2,500 for an extra charge, and aims to guarantee delivery to a UK address before 1pm the next day (Mon-Fri).

For overseas customers, I use the Royal Mail International Standard service which does NOT include tracking and the Royal Mail International Tracked service which provides initial compensation up to £50 for lost or damaged parcels. Additional compensation up to £250 is available with this service.

Packages weighing in excess of 2kg can also be sent by Parcelforce. I use their express48 service for UK orders and the Global Priority service for packages being sent worldwide. Please ask before placing an order so that I can provide an exact postage price.

Please note that packages posted to a UK address are not treated as lost until 15 working days (Mon-Sat) after the due delivery date. Packages sent by International Standard or International Tracked & Signed are not treated as lost until 20 working days (Mon-Sat) after the due delivery date for Europe and 25 working days (Mon-Sat) for the rest of the world.

Records are sent in professional record mailers and,where necessary, cardboard stiffeners are used for additional protection. CDs / DVDs are sent in padded Jiffy Bags.

Buyers are responsible for any importation, VAT or custom charges incurred. Returns are always accepted but the buyer is responsible for the cost of returning the item.

I grade conservatively under a strong light which picks up most marks as well as spindle trails on record labels etc. My near mint grading is very close to mint and adheres strictly to the Discogs definition. A very good plus grading is equivalent to excellent.

Media Grading

Mint (M) - Perfect in every way. Looks like it has just left the manufacturer, with NO flaws whatsoever.

Near Mint (NM or M-) - Appears virtually flawless as if you have just arrived home with your purchase from the shop. There may be one or two very minor marks but very little else can appear. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw is very hard to see even under strong light.

Excellent (EX) or Very Good Plus (VG+) - Shows some signs of having being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. There may be minor scuffs which are visible to the naked eye but it should play without any noise over the flaw.

Very Good (VG) - Shows wear and surface scuffs. The flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye and may cause some surface noise.

Good (G) - Sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches.

Fair (F) - Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump.

Poor (P) - The media may be cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. If this is a rare item, this may be a collection filler until a better copy turns up.

Sleeve / Artwork Grading

Mint (M) - No stickers address labels, writing on the covers or labels. No tears or seam splits. No wear to the cover. The age of the record has nothing to do with it.

Near Mint (NM or M-) - The cover looks close to perfect with only one or two very minor signs of wear.

Excellent (EX) or Very Good Plus (VG+) - The cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) - Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.

Good (G) - Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.

Fair (F) and Poor (P) - The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. The picture sleeve is stained or has suffered water damage, been split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The cover barely keeps the record inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon.
