As a seller I grade very strictly and conservatively, using an extremely bright light (the kind that photographers use) and by play testing the records. I interpret the Goldmine / Discogs system as follows: (1) "NM" records must have NO visual flaws and NO audible defects that I can hear during play grading. (2) "VG+" records may have a handful of very light scuffs, scratches, or other cosmetic flaws, but must not have ANY significant audible defects (in my opinion, the most noise that a record can have for VG+ is an occasional soft pop or moment of crackle). If the noises are loud or happen more than a few times or occur as a repeating tic, then VG+ is not appropriate. (3) "VG" records might have one or a few trouble spots where the flaws are more audible (I will usually describe exactly what the issues are) but these cannot "overpower the music" as a whole and are therefore usually fairly minor. I also use VG if the visual flaws are a bit too many or too significant to merit a VG+ grade. If there is a deep scratch or a skip or more than a few trouble spots, then I don't use the VG grade. (4) I don't bother listing records that are worse than VG.
If I make a mistake please let me know, but I hope you will reciprocate the reasonableness and good faith that I try to use.
Within the contiguous United States I charge a flat $6 and ship via USPS Media Mail. I'm happy to combine shipping for no additional cost. All records are packaged carefully with extra cardboard reinforcement, and vinyl is always shipped outside of the jacket unless it's a sealed record. Packages will be shipped (i.e., left with the post office) within 3 days after I receive payment, but I try to ship within 1 day whenever possible.
No shipping internationally or outside of the contiguous United States (it takes too much time and there is too much complication, sorry). I will only ship to the address listed in your PayPal , so make sure that is correct and up to date before ordering.
