Edited 5 months agoIn my opinion this album has not aged so gracefully. There are a handful of classic tracks (Argha Noah is my favorite), but much of it is fairly dated 90s instrumental hip-hop beats, and occasionally annoying ones at that. But the jacket is decent quality (though pixelated) and the pressing is quite good.
-
My cover is also very pixilated. I saw a copy in a shop yesterday, where the cover looked normal, I almost bougt it just for that reason. How many of you have a nonpixilated cover from 2013 release? Is that one rare?
-
Yes, it's bass heavy but not unlistenable. More in a phwoar, that's deep, kind of way. It must depend hugely on your system.

I don't understand some of the commenters here. The vinyls run on five different turntables and systems and on each it sounds dynamic, precise and balanced. If you hear too much bass here, you should check your hi-fi systems. Or change the needle. The vinyl itself is absolutely clean and has no unpleasant background noise. That's exactly what you want vinyl to be.
-
Definitely bass heavy, if you have a badly tuned sub or have dialled in lots of extra energy around 120 hz you might hate this mastering, but it sounds really good to me. Rich and luscious. With such short sides I suppose they can cut it really 'loud'.
Pressing is OK, a nasty warp in disc 2 but it still tracks. Looked pretty bad coming out of the sleeves but no nasty surface noise. Overall I'm happy. Yes, the cover art is horrendously reproduced. -
My pressing is excellent and absolutely compatible to my Hi-Fi components.
But the cover is not reproduced very well. There are visible pixels on the edges of each drawn line, meaning the lines of the text as well as the lines of the drawing of the car. That´s a pity. Can the source of the CD cover really be that bad? -
This was much better than I expected as most 'new' "digital" vinyl I hear does not sound much good. There is no doubt that my copy is great sousing vinyl. I agree with earlier review from s.pressman. Bass and space is great. Wonderful resonance and depth.

My copy of this pressing is in line with the other reviews here. This is a generally good sounding release with a heavy low end. Once I turned off my sub I found the record fine.
