Edited one month agoI have a copy of Killing... that I don't see here on Discogs. Vinyl. Combat. 1985. Green labels. Hype sticker on the cover that says, "Megadeth, featuring Ex-Metallica songwriter and guitarist Dave Mustaine mx8015." There is a gold promo stamp on the upper back cover. Comes with a glossy pic of Dave ripping on guitar. Anyone?

There seems to have been 3 (even 4 with the K-disc test pressing) different lacquers cut for different pressings of this album:
1. Tom Coyne (¢ - Frankford/Wayne) for most pressings, eg. on this one ;
2. Michael Sarsfield (MJS - Frankford/Wayne), exclusively on that pressing ;
3. Uncredited engineer for the EMW pressings from 1987, ie. that last one.
I own the 1987/1988 EMW pressing and it sounds excellent to me. Can anyone with multiple copies of the US original pressings tell which one they prefer among these three? -
I picked up a copy of a 1985 pressing of this album with green labels at my local record store. Interestingly, it does NOT have the PO Box on the labels, BUT it does have the larger typeface of the band's name. Seems there is a third pressing of the green labels out there, of which I stumbled upon one.

I've seen several of these, including mine, that didn't have the inner sleeve, but instead had a thin plastic sleeve, can anyone help this? Also, my copy has an ment for the Combat Tour Ultimate Revenge VHS tape.

80's Megadeth albums are like 20 minutes shorter in average compared to Metallica albums, that is because Dave Mustaine played so much faster!

I want a CD copy of the uncensored original album and there appear to be several releases of it and I'd like to know if anyone here can tell me if some are better than others?
-
Not sure how to merge on here. Can somebody merge the white FYE exclusive vinyl. It showed up on the end of the singles for some reason.
