A post on Facebook by Terry O’Neil about The Farmer
There were 500 copies of The Farmer pressed. Some went to RTE radio DJs and some to journalists in newspapers and magazines. Promoters around Dublin and the country got some to promote the gigs mainly by getting the venue DJ to play it saying 'Next week Thin Lizzy' etc. The band got some for family and there were some given to friends and people who'd helped us out. About 250 sold. There were 25 in a box and I had about 4 or 5 boxes in my wardrobe in my parents house for a few years. One day I was back home and my mother said that they had cleared out my stuff because they'd been asking me to do it for years. Sad but true. They are worth a lot of money now and I don't even have one. I notice that there are more 'Likes' on this post then there were records sold originally!
