Pretty solid pressing, slight surface noise on the first side but well mastered, good sound dynamics and decent price point for one of the most popular albums of it’s era. A must have for lovers of 90’s rock and Gen X culture.

Got this cheap and sealed. I was dubious about this pressing given the price, but aside from static, which I dealt with, and some slight crackling here and there, I am pleased to say that this is a very good pressing; at least it is for me. The rythm section is really punchy and clear compared to my old cd version, and the performances were noticeably more detailed. No pops or anything that could cause distraction.

Edited 6 months agosounds perfect to me, clean the records first, upgrade your needle/cartridge, tonearm, get a weight, a decent table and preamp and some decent bookshelf speakers and this album plays like gold (no pun intended).

Guys and gals, this is $15 in store at Walmart until the 20th and will be on sale again soon, so don’t pay these scum sellers that are buying up the inventory and trying to shove it back up your a$$. Make them sit on it. There were multiple copies of this at my local Walmart yesterday and they may clear more inventory online at any point. Just keep checking.

Played it straight through a month ago and everything sounded great except for the last side, D. That’s where it sounds fine but too scratchy. I even cleaned it and got the same result. Just listened to the album again a month later and same thing; last side is staticky but the rest is fine. I do love this album, just a little saddened the pressing doesn’t seem to be the best.

Edited 2 years agoI see one negative review of this pressing and all positive otherwise of this and the standard black, so I'm trying to decide which to open and which to return. I've had a few bum pressings from Walmart but they were due to damage in transit or storage. Mostly I've been impressed by all my Walmart exclusives thus far (Ozzy, Jimi, Metallica, Alanis M., STP)

is there an entry for the standard black variant?? I opted for that one instead but cant seem to find it on here. It shares all the same runout numbers as this entry tho...
