Dear listener,
On behalf of re:discovery records, it is with great excitement that we announce the reissue of 'Synaesthetic' by A Positive Life.
A seminal release that became beloved by their owners but somehow slipped thru the cracks on recognition on both sides of the atlantic.
The album Is chalk full of top-notch tracks in this style. It features the magical Orb-esque single 'The Calling', which helped show the way
forward to a more deeper meaning in electronic music while the amazing 'Pleidean Communication', took this journey even deeper. 'Spacehopper' & 'Bathtub' latched on to the growing trance sound of the time but as you can hear, they are prime examples at ones that were successful at not going overboard but kept the sound timeless with a less is more approach. 'Aquasonic' is a classic in the ambient dub scene that concludes this album on a memorable note. A special treat to this reissue is that we included 'Warehouse 5am', which was only featured on the American cd version. Originally released in 1993 and having recently grown a warranted cult status as copies became hard to secure for a reasonable value, we are happy to present this in a beautiful package with no expense sacraficed. It is our hope that they bring you as much happiness as they have brought us and that this release gives them new life to a new audience and a special fond memory to those that knew them.

Great release ! I'm so happy to dive in the 1990's electronic sounds. My second disc has a slight warp that doesn't affect the sound but psychologicaly irritates me as this plague happens too frequently (the Blue Note catalog). Other than that, I'd like to thank the people behind the reissue of this album. The liner note makes the package neat and adds a cautious human dimension behind the record. Great label that offers quality and good price. I'll buy other releases for sure. -
My copy is also top quality, so is music, on par with Synthetic Science records. Very VERY happy to be able to listen to this one from an analogue source. -

This is an excellent repress of an excellent album, often overlooked in the ambient-dub-techno scene, but thanks to Tim @ re:discovery, it's back in the mix again and how glad I am that it is. While the album wasn't fully remastered for vinyl, it honestly didn't really need to be as, the original was perfect in its own 90s way, just like its luminaries in Higher Intelligence Agency and Spacetime Continuum, to name a couple. I'd rather relive that sound as I heard it in the 90s than have it be all brick mastered for the loudness & bass heads of the 21st century. So thank you Tim for being true to Stefan's original creation and for putting in the effort to bring this awesome album back under the spotlight. So much amazing music from this time period, glad there are labels like this who care to keep them alive!

Can anyone comment on the pressing of this repress? I’ve been listening to the digital version of this and it leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of the low end seems missing. I’m hoping the vinyl can be more dynamic and punchy.
