Edited one month agoThe instrument separation on this record is insane. Its like have an full orchestra in your living room. By far, the best sounding LP in my collection so far. Highly recommended!
-
This sounds every bit as good as any UHQR or MFSL pressing I have heard. Amazing dynamics and soundstage that sounds absolutely fantastic.
-
grabbed this today 5$ in the asis bin ran through ultrasonic I'll be damned nm sounds fantastic... great pick up
-
Brilliant album, probably Sheffield Lab Recordings' best album yet. Love how open the vocals of Thelma Houston sounds and also how clear and wide it is, this album shows how good Direct-To-Disc (DTD) could sound. Doug Sax (mastering, mixing engineer) did a really great job on mastering this album. Highly recommend to anyone that loves Sheffield Lab Recordings

This sounds amazing. I actually got this at a thrift store for 1.25. Find this to really test out your gear

Edited 4 years agoSo lucky to find this gem. I purchased this vinyl record solely on the label of "Recorded live from the studio direct to the master disc...Limited Edition". I was curious and so glad I purchased this. The audio fidelity here is amazing. The dynamics are fantastic and to paraphrase sandmanfuzzy comment..all of the instruments sound remarkable. Amazing to hear this kind of amazing audio quality on vinyl. Best of all, this is still not on the list of any hot collectible list yet so the prices are still very reasonable. So if you have a chance to pick up a clean copy, you will not regret it.

Great record for showing off your system! Direct to Disc is so clean with great instrument separation.
-
Really dynamic recording. Direct disc recording of a lesser-known Soul Sister. Also the instrumentals are really remarkable. Especially "Step in Time." Love it!
