Had this album as a child, and revisiting it with more mature ears, I don't think there is a weak song on the entire album.
The Beatles (specifically McCartney) influence is undeniable, and that is partly why I feel it's so good.
Love all of it, but "The Golden Rule" might be my favorite--it's dry wit (ala John Lennon) wouldn't be too out of place on "Sgt. Peppers"....IMO of course. -

My record is exactly the same as this version, even the Matrix / Runout, but 'Claire' isn't on it, Instead it has 'Alone again (naturally)' on it... -

My copy of this Cassette had track 2 side 1 and track 3 side 2 swapped around but the labels noted these the same as above. I think they had the LP version on the tape instead of the proper cassette version. Either that or they had the labels printed wrongly. -

Singer and Songwriter Gilbert O'Sullivan was on top in 1972: "Alone again" topped the US-charts, "Clair" and "Get down" were successfull, too, afterwards 1973/74 less copies of the new songs were sold and Gilbert failed.
This album includes top-seller "Alone again (naturally)" and this is the single outbreaking longtime tune, which remains in the ears.
All other songs are nice - but don't keep in mind. Words are personally and love-themes are the general topic.
Harmless background for sunny silent hours, no surprises, mainstream at all.
Maybe you like it for this - I can't help changing the record on my turntable before turning to the second side.
