Lionel Richie – Can't Slow Down

The press quality is excellent! IGD is minimal, mainly just sibilance. Lyric sheet is appreciated too, and last but not least it's an actually good album. Peter Griffin was right, Can't Slow Down is a great album!

The masterpiece on this album is Stuck On You on a solid track list that sures its decade. Solid pressing.

Having grown up with the original UK STMA8041 (pressed in ) copy, which I got when the album came out, and having subsequently owned a German Bellaphon-pressed copy I have to say that my German RCA/Sonopress ZL72020 copy with the Side 1 matrix – DM B - 0548 A-9/6-86 II – is absolutely hands down one of THE BEST sounding records I have ever heard. I was transfixed. Neither of the two pressings mentioned above can compare when it comes to the pinpoint levels of detail and clarity and the wide sound stage. I know it's an old cliché but it was like I was hearing this album for the first time.

Side 2 of this pressing – DM B - 0548 B-12/84 S 1 II – was cut in 1984 unlike side 1 which was cut in 1986 and does not achieve the sonic heights of Side 1 but it is still better than the original STMA press cut by "S.R.", which is sonically dull and relatively lifeless in comparison.

I wish all records were this utterly engaging to listen to it.

Classic Lionel with a great sound. Great sound and tone.

IMO it sounds too bright and lifeless. The original Motown cd release sounds way better

i hv both this US OG pressing and the OG japan. the US OG is miles ahead of the japanese in of mastering and dynamics. track used for comparison: "all nite long" . if im not wrong, the US was cut from the master by bernie grundman, and the japanese was re-eqed and cut from a dub by an unknown japanese engineer
