Wire – Silver / Lead

If you are in a record shop holding this and wondering if you should…yes you should.

This sounds fine on my system, good quiet pressing, nice punchy midrange. A few too many mid-slow tunes, but the uptempo ones shine on wax.

A bit too dull musically this. Only a little uptempo (2nd track), the rest plods along gamely retreading the slow stuff from the past ten years. Zip back to the Manscape for God's sake guys, this is far too safe. Next up 'Music for Rockingchairs'?

I don't know if it's the production or the pressing but my copy sounds very flat and muffled.
