It was a t-venture between Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft mbH and Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. and succeeded Nippon Grammophon Co., Ltd.. The company represented a number of PolyGram labels in Japan, such as DGG, Polydor, Riverside, Verve, MGM, Archiv, and Daybreak but also Stax and Ricordi.
